A little bit about us

Benjie and I met at BC High School in 1993. We got married December 19, 1998 (on Benjie's birthday - that way he can never forget our anniversary).

We had our first child Maddison Rese on November 22, 2004. Maddison was born 3 weeks early weighing in at 5 lbs 13 oz and jet black hair. Maddison was born with Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome - something that was not determined while I was pregnant. THis means that the left side of her heart did not form. The day after I had her on November 23rd she was rushed to MUSC in Charleston where they were better equipped to handle heart babies. Maddison had the first of the 3 surgeries HPLHS babies have on November 29. 2004. Maddison unexpectedly passed away on December 10, 2004.

On November 21, 2005 we welcomed our second child, Peyton Ennis to the world at 8:14 AM. A 7 lb 4 oz baby boy with a head full of blonde hair and a perfect heart. We couldn't ask for a sweeter, caring and loving child.

Peyton is 2 years old and has the happiest personality. He's so caring and loves to help others. He attends preschoool 3 days a week at Holland Avenue Baptist Church and has learned so much - he shocked us all when he could acually write an "E" and draw some shapes. I have to brag on him, he's smart for his age!!!
