5 Years and 4 years

Wow how time flies. I never thought it would go by so fast but it really has. Peyton is now 4 years old. We signed him up for the very first time to play t-ball starting soon. T-ball. My once little, bitty baby boy is now a big boy and going to play ball. We also are registering him for 4 year old kindergarten in March. He is so excited to be able to go to school with Mommy. I hope he gets in but if he doesn't its ok - he'll stay at Holland Avenue where he's been since he was a year old.

Maddison would have turned 5 years old this past November. 5 years old. It seems like just yesterday our lives were changed forever. We always have the "I wonders" at our house. I wonder what she would look like, I wonder if her hair would still be black, I wonder what she would be into, would it be dolls, I wonder if she would be just as prissy as can be - I know she would. She sure did have enough clothes and hairbows to outfit every little girl in the state of SC with something smocked, monogrammed, polka dotted, and a bow to match everything. Peyton asks us all the time if we can go and see her. He thinks when we go and do the heart walk in Charleston that we are going to see her. He doesn't quite understand it. Its a lot for a little 4 year old to comprehend. We go and see her heart stone at the cemetery and he "talks" to her when we go and he takes his hotwheel cars just incase she wants to play with them he says. Its so sweet and I know he is a good little brother and Maddison is proud.

We've been reading the bible in 90 days along with the church and Peyton is really taking it all in. He's been asking a lot of questions about Heaven. We actually had to stop for a couple of days because he got a little upset at nighttime and was scared. He thought if he closed his eyes he was going to Heaven. I tried to tell him Heaven is not a scary place but a happy one and we will get to see Maddison and play with her. Won't that be fun? Nope. He doesn't have any interest in it. So, while we were all sick with the stomach bug this past weekend he was upset and came into the room where I was laying down and told me "Mommy, I don't want you to die". Oh, talk about heart breaker. You should have seen his little face. So, that's the topic of the conversations at our house this past couple of weeks.
